broad look at the work of a genius
A fine volume of essays and interviews on Wenders. The first book to successfully compile a broad collection of interpretive essays on the different themes in his cinematic output. Equally fascinating for a reader are the essays written by Wenders himself, who comes across as insightful, articulate and intelligent. This book is an excellent introductory text to his work, but simultaneously provides plenty of material for those already familiar with Wenders oeuvre. This title comes highly recommended.

The Classic Chinese Cookbook
I purchased this book over 20 years ago and it continues to be my favorite of its kind. The recipes for Hot and Sour soup, as well as "Happy Union" have been crowd pleasers over the years. I recently shared it with a chinese-american friend of mine, a superb cook, whose parents owned a restaurant, and he loved it! I am looking for a copy for him as a surprise. Enjoy!

Good, concise read
This book covers quite a bit and isn't too technical. Many of the suggestions are doable with any level of sport.

A "must have" for your cook book collection!
Recipies easy to follow, all that I've tried have been fantastic. I like the fact each cobbler has a custom cobbler topping. My friends keep borrowing my copy, so I ordered 6 copies today, 2 copies of which will be gifts.

Terrific guide to cooking poultry
I bought this book at full price in a bookstore and think it was worth every penny; ..., this is a great buy. Not only does it contain many recipes for cooking all sorts of poultry in all sorts of ways (roasting, braising, stir-frying, etc.), but the editors experimented with variations on the different techniques. (For example, they roasted a chicken in almost every way imaginable -- high temp, low temp, turning it, not turning it, etc -- describe their results, and recommend the ones they think are best after explaining why.) Their recipe for butterflied roasted chicken is superb -- I highly recommend this cookbook.

Beautiful and Amazing....
Plants and flowers have long been the basis for many traditional healing practices. Many modern medicines have their "roots" in the worlds of herbalism. And yet, there has been little integration between systems of thought and practice.

In this volume, Rhonda Pallas Downey has amassed a body of work that brings a variety of disciplines into balance and perspective. She skillfully weaves the historic precepts of herbalism, homeopathy, and flower essences, demonstrating a deep knowledge of not only the principals of healing, but the application of precepts to practice. With a strong background in healing systems, she also skillfully correlates the use of flower essences to the chakra systems, thus demonstrating the web that brings all healing systems into a cohesive whole.

Rhonda shares a wealth of personal experiences that illustrate how flower essences are created, shared, and used. She guides the reader through the exacting process of choosing, gathering, preparing, and using the flower essences. There is a sacredness of this process which is clearly inspiring and meditative. Rhonda's own exquisite photographs accompany the text.

This is not a book to read cover to cover, but one to ponder and explore. Just as Rhonda encourages us to look at healing on a higher level, the book brings additional layers and dimensions to common plants we may see but not really experience. This is an exceptional work that deserves a place in the body of knowledge of healing.

This book is excellent!
I find this cookbook to be the best one for a beginner, and it's a shame it is out of print. It practically tells you how to boil water. I really like how it gives simple recipes as well as fancy recipes that I would serve for a special occaision. I would recommend this book to anyone that is starting out on their own, as I have recently.
